======================================================================
Compared to the last report, demand was moderate this trading session
on light to moderate supplies.
Producers report water districts might limit water as drought conditions
worsen in some parts of Oregon, which could keep them from irrigating
later in the summer.
While some producers have access to well water many hope spring rains
will help keep irrigation districts open later in the season to help
keep production costs in check.
Some producers are starting to sell out of hay but many report old crop
has been moving more the last two weeks as producers try to empty their
barns to make room for new crop.
Hay is starting to get cut in in some parts all over Oregon, producers
say the hay looks good even though they have had some mornings with
frost and should start cutting within a few weeks if they haven't alre.
According to the U.S.
Drought Monitor, 83% of the state is in a moderate drought or worse,
42% of the state is in a Severe drought or worse, 7% of the state is in
an extreme drought or worse, 0% of the state is in an exceptional drought.
